Meet the HSPA Team: Jessica Mikasa

Jessica is Harris & Smith's "go-to" person for media relations and project management. As a key member of our consulting team, she understands client goals and expectations for each of our projects and ensures that they are reflected in her media and community outreach activities. Jessica is particularly skilled in developing personal stories that help convey key information and messages that support public relations objectives.

Jessica's experience in public and media relations was gained in California and both Washingtons. In California, she coordinated events and media relations for the Carlsbad California Chamber of Commerce as well as co-producing its weekly business television program. As a media relations and field coordinator for California State Assemblyman Mark Wyland, Mikasa worked with constituents, media and community organizations throughout the 74th District. As a talk radio news correspondent in Washington, DC, she covered everything from the White House to Capitol Hill.

Jessica is a Seattle native and holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of San Diego. She is an active alumna of Holy Names Academy, Kappa Alpha Theta and The Washington Center.
